Russian political system is a framework styled in federal semi-presidential republic that is laid under the rules of the Constitution of Russia.

As per the Constitution, the executive powers of running the country lies with the Prime Minister of Russia, as the President takes up a largely ceremonial role. Russian politics has witnessed strong political leaders some may have failed to usher good leadership whereas some has excelled in his or her political arena with their great administrative skills not only in just Russia but all over the world.

Vladimir Putin

He is the current president of the Russian Federation since 7 May 2012, previously holding the position from 2000 until 2008.He was the chairman of the ruling United Russia party. He is considered as one of the finest politician. He was Prime Minister of the Russian Federation from 1999 until 2000, and again from 2008 until 2012.

 Joseph Stalin

This man was born in Georgia in the Russian Empire in the later part of the nineteenth century into a poor family. He was one of the controversial Russian dictators. Although he single handily elevated Russia from a backward country to a major world power. He was such a man who continued as a supreme leader with an iron hand till his death.

Roman Abramovich

He is a Russian businessman, investor and a politician, who happens to be one of the richest men in the world. He is widely regarded as a self-made man, who came from a very humble childhood and created his own empire through his hard work and incredible self-confidence while conducting business deals. He stays good friends with Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, and is slowly climbing up the ladder to become the biggest business icon and the richest man in Russia.

Leonid Brezhnev

Leonid Brezhnev was a Communist Party official and a statesman of the former Soviet Union. He served as the leader of the Soviet Union for eighteen years. Due to his initiatives, the Soviet Union acquired an equal position with the US in the field of strategic nuclear weapons. Under his leadership, the Soviet Union achieved remarkable success in its space program. He was born in a poor family of Ukrainian peasants and faced many hardships in his early life. He left his job and rather enrolled his name into politics soon he raised in his political career, his involvement in the party and the Red Army led him to become one of the prominent members of the party.
