Is there any substance in EVM hacking claim

Is there any substance in EVM hacking claim?

Self-proclaimed cyber expert Syed Shuja claims that EVM machines meant for 2014 elections were hacked, he was a part of the EVM design team and these machines can be hacked. India’s leading political party BJP said that these bogus claims are being made to defame Indian democracy and the ECI (Election Commission of India). Meanwhile, ECI has asked Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against Shuja under section 505(1)(b), as this act of his is an involvement in spreading rumors to create public outcry.

Shuja had made many crazy and unbelievable claims including the claim that late Union minister Gopinath Munde was killed in car accident because he had knowledge of this rigging. Shuja also claimed that Gauri Lankesh was murdered because she wanted to make a cover story on this issue and many of his own accomplices were killed in Hyderabad as well forcing him to move out of India. He also alleged that as many as 12 political parties contacted him in matters related to EVM hacking.

Meanwhile, senior Congress politician Kapil Sibal hit back at union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who earlier blamed Kapil for attending the London EVM hacking event, claiming that he was a part of the ‘Congress sponsored conference’ as the entire happening was a Congress led conspiracy.
