Killing Gandhi again

A woman named Pooja Shakun Pandey has hit limelight ever since her video surfaced, in which she is shooting an effigy of Gandhi ji.

In a heinous act, Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha leader Pooja Shakun Pandey shot at an effigy of Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi popularly known as Gandhi ji. She glorifies Nathu Ram Godse, man who assassinated Gandhi and praises him whole-heartedly for doing so.

She enacted the whole assassination of Gandhi ji on camera and said that this event would be carried out every year just like Ravan dahan is done on every Dussehra. What makes this matter even more severe is that her pictures have surfaced on social media in which she is rubbing shoulders with many senior BJP politicians. Though they may not necessarily subscribe to her views, nonetheless pictures indicate that there is some sort of alliance and friendship between her and top BJP brass.

Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse too was a Hindu Mahasabha leader, and has been hailed several times as a hero for what this organization regards as a remarkable incidence in Indian history.

This act by Pooja took place in Aligarh. Her act is being regarded as an act of shame and the Congress is protesting against this occurrence at many places. She even outspread a red colored liquid during the course of enacting Gandhi ji’s assasination, symbolizing the blood of Gandhi. Then she offered garland to a picture of Godse and offered him obeisance.

This act of her may not subscribe to political agenda of BJP but her supposed proximity with a few senior BJP leaders has given a chance to Congress and a few other opposition parties to take up this matter to malign the BJP. She is being referred to as ‘Lady Godse’.Soon after the incidence, she lovingly posed for photographs and had no feeling of remorse for her act.
