INC in the Assembly Elections of 2014 emerged as the single largest party wqith 42 seats in the 60-seat legislature. However the Assembly was dissolved by the President Pranab Mukherjee in 2016. The congress government lost its 30 MLA’s. With various alliances been set up and broken, Congress party has 1 seat in the Legislative Assembly.
People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA): – PPA is the regional political party in the Indian State of Arunachal Pradesh. Founded in 1979, they were in power until all of their MLAs defected back to Indian National Congress. People’s Party of Arunachal has an alliance with North-east Democratic Alliance, National Democratic Alliance. Currently the party has its 9 members along with the alliance of BJP in Arunachal Legislative Assembly.
