Major National Parties:

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP): – Bharatiya Janata Party is currently the governing party in the state of Jharkhand. The ruling political party in Jharkhand is one of the most powerful and famous political parties in Jharkhand. With Chief Minister Raghubar Das, BJP has 43 seats in the state.

Indian National Congress (INC): – Indian National Congress is one of the famous political parties in Jharkhand, and holds 7 seats in the state of Jharkhand.

Minor national-level parties:

Janata Dal United (JDU): – This is a centre-left Indian Political party with its political presence mainly in Bihar and Jharkhand. Political ideology followed is Secularism, Socialism.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD): – This is another popular political party in Jharkhand. Political ideologies followed are Secularism, Socialism, and Populism.

There is also a proposal to merge Jharkhand Party, Jharkhand Party (Horo), Jharkhand Party (Naren), Akhand Jharkhand People’s  Front, All India Jharkhand Party, Hul Jharkhand Party, United Jharkhand Party, and Birsa Seva Dal to form Jharkhand Party under N. E. Horo.
