There are pre-dominant political parties in Rajasthan which are two major parties in Rajasthan i.e. BJP and Congress, but with the intervention and hyped up situations for upcoming Assembly Elections in Rajasthan, there are several other political parties which have geared up for the big battle.
Following are some of the most famous and popular political parties in Rajasthan.
Indian National Congress: – In 2013 Rajasthan Assembly Election was held and the incumbent ruling party Indian National Congress, which was led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, lost the elections to VasundharaRaje-led Bharatiya Janata Party. However, Rajasthan by-polls of 2018 have given a complete reversed story where Congress has won in three by-polls. It’s one of the most famous political parties in Rajasthan.
Bharatiya Janata Party: – With the defeat in by-elections in Rajasthan the Bharatiya Janata Party has been strategizing to change the party’s internal dynamics with the senior leaders deliberating on the reasons for the drubbing received at two Parliamentary seats and one Assembly seats.Bharatiya Janata Party shares 159 seats in the Rajasthan Assembly. Currently in governance, BJP is one of the most powerful political parties in Rajasthan.
Communist Party of India (Marxist): – CPI (M) during the 2008 Assembly Elections in Rajasthan has had released largest list of party candidates which was of the number 34. But the party was unable to open its scorecard in Rajasthan, for the elections held in 2013, where in 2008 CPI (M) had picked up three seats in the Assembly.
Bahujan Samaj Party: – BSP has mended up its strategies for the up-coming Rajasthan Assembly Elections to be held in 2018, where the party declares its candidates for the respective constituencies.
Janata Dal (United): – JD (U) is all set to go alone in the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly Elections for 2018. And for the constituencies where they cannot field their own candidate, the party will support the candidates of like-minded parties.
Lok Janashakti Party: – LJP will contest the forthcoming Rajasthan Assembly Elections to be held in 2018 all by itself. Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan has confirmed.
Rajasthan Samajik Nyaya Manch: – RSNM is an unregistered political party in the state of Rajasthan.
Aam Aadmi Party: – The political scenario of Rajasthan witnessed two major political parties like BJP and Congress and with the same aspect AAP has been joining the bandwagon for forthcoming 2018 Assembly Elections where party is contesting elections on all 200 seats.
