China’s political system is a communist system which means it is run by the Communist Party. It is also said that China is an ancient patriarchal civilization where women were traditionally lower than men.
It is though changing with the generations but the Chinese still have some catching up to do when it comes to woman. But things are significantly changing in the population of more than 1.4 billion. Politically China has been gradually developing at its pace. Here are the few names of woman politicians of China.
Liu Yandong – Liu Yandong, a known politician of China has recently served as the Vice Premier of the People’s Republic of China. She is the highest ranked female political figure in China and also a woman with a seat on the Politburo. A member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China she had also had her contributions to various other political criteria.
Jiang Qing – Jiang Qing is popularly known as Madame Mao, who was an instrumental figure in the political lanes of China at the time of Cultural Revolution. She was an actress and also a major political figure who was distinguished to be a Chinese Communist Revolutionary.
She served as the inaugural First Lady of the People’s Republic of China and had very efficiently formed a radical political alliance as “Gang of Four”.
Sun Chunlan – A Chinese politician, Sun Chunlan is a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China. She has held several political posts in her entire long political career. Hua Chunying – Hua is one of the well-known woman politicians of China. Hua is the Deputy Director of the Foreign Ministry Information Department of the People’s Republic of China. She is also the fifth spokeswoman and the 27th spokesperson since the system of spokesperson was brought into functioning.
Soong Ching-Ling – She is one of the prominent political figures of China and was the third wife of Sun Tat-sen, one of the most renowned political leaders at the time of 1911 revolution. Madame Sun Yat-sen played an incredible role in China’s politics.
Deng Yingchao – Deng Yingchao was the Chairwoman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and also a member of the Communist Party of China. She was also the wife of the first Chinese Premier, Zhou Enlai.
